REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Shawn Markwick is from Peterborough Ontario and has lived in Ottawa for the past 24 years.  He graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1995, and the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2000.

In addition to practicing as a registered massage therapist, Shawn taught Massage Therapy for 7 years, had the privilege of working for Team Canada at the 2014 World Championships in Minsk, Belarus, and worked for Cirque Du Soleil on four different occasions while they performed here in Ottawa.

Shawn has taken multiple post graduate courses focusing on techniques to realign the pelvis and small vertebral rotations, concussion protocols, and muscle balance and realignment.  Shawn has a treatment oriented practice that works well with physiotherapy in helping to get patients pain free and back to full function and activities.

Outside work Shawn enjoys time with his wife, kids and two dogs as well as mountain biking.
